We are second-years now at Riadale Academy, the most illustrious school of magic of all. One day in November, before the winter holidays, the Deputy Headmistress summons us, and when we gather in the back garden, there lies Grumpy the house fairy, senseless on the ground. The four of us are the suspects. "If you conspire to leave the truth in doubt, I shall punish every one of you," the Deputy Headmistress tells us. If we are not to be driven out of illustrious Riadale, we must search the school thoroughly, argue it out among ourselves, and put together our report...

"I didn't do it... a report? What... what are we supposed to do?" Age: 12 (2nd year) Appearance: brown-tinged blonde hair (ash blonde), the same height as Morgan Personality: A girl who is not afraid to talk to anyone. If something looks fun, she tends to leap before she looks.
Sandra Shields
"I don't want to be suspected either... but I also don't want to sell out a friend." Age: 13 (2nd year) Appearance: reddish hair, the tallest of the four Personality: A girl who likes to slowly and carefully think things over. A little shy with strangers; her friendships are few but deep.
Jeffrey Guy
"I'd never do something so barbaric. And what about the rest of you?" Age: 13 (2nd year) Appearance: black hair, the shortest of the four Personality: A boy who throws himself into every lesson and assignment. Hates to lose, and is keenly competitive.
Morgan Meyer
"If we can't work out the truth, we all get punished, huh... that's a bit of a problem..." Age: 12 (2nd year) Appearance: near-white blonde hair (platinum blonde), the same height as Eliza Personality: A mild-mannered boy who takes everything positively. Whimsical, though, and quick to change his mind.
